Hope they look at the competition and mimic the rear end of those, but stronger.

Just my thoughts, based on likely facts:
1. 5.6 is a bored out 4.7, therefore, block not beefy enough for a good diesel i.e. 5.6 or 6.6 minimum to be competitive pulling a 3/4 rig. Hope for 6.9L!

2. I am not familiar with Nissan diesel engine line. May exist overseas never seen in industrial market I work in. Technology and more importantly, name recognition is vital. Consider price of a 3/4 ton diesel and let's not repeat GM debacle of 1970's diesel cars. They blew up...

3. Certainly the rear would change. Typical Gas engine is fairly even HP vs TQ. Typical Small Diesel is 1HP vs 2TQ. Large Diesels run close to 1 HP vs 3TQ! So for Titan, expector dream of a 350-400 HP with 600-750 TQ. I don't know how this compares exactly with current Cummins offering in the Dodge, etc.or GMC.

High TQ would destroy our rears instanly...
