Re: Air Intake Systems [list and poll]
I'm kinda doubting this "MAF" sensor getting oil on it and making it malfunction....... How much oil are people putting on their filters to get oil on the heated coils of the MAF to make it malfunction?
All in all, I would think a lubricated surface (oilded) intake filter would have less restriction than ANY dry setup thus making more HP. An easy way to test this would be putting a dry filter and a oiled filter on the same intake pipe and testing the diffence. I'd just like to hear someone who has had a MAF sensor go out or had problems with the oiled filters.
That aside., If anyone is in the Sacramento, Northern California area I would be willing to offer some free Dyno testing on a Dynojet 248c Dyno and test some different intakes head to head.
I just bought an 06 4x4 cc LE and am always wanting to get the real results.
if anyone is interested go ahead and post here.
Since Volant doesn't have any posted Dyno graphs, I'm going to contact
them and see if they can send me up an intake and see if its what they claim.
Anyway, good thread, I'd like to see a ram air setup off a hood scoop on the drivers side, that would be fun!
