Same here -- the drone is definitely noticeable. Not annoying but it's there.

Most of the time when I am on longer trips, I will set the cruise at 75 and the drone is at the point where it is dissapearing and so it doesn't bother me; your ears may vary.
I've not had mine on a trip yet but probably will next week. I usually cruise at 77 on the interstate so that should work to get out of the "drone range."

The sound I get from this setup sounds great, especially when going under bridges If it helps, my wife like the way it sounds, and she didn't even know there was a drone until I pointed the sound out to her. If you ever have passengers with you who are sensitive to the sounds, they may gripe at you the whole trip, but most people like it. My boss travelled with me a few days ago, and he could tell that the truck was louder, but he liked the sound and it was not obnoxious to him.
It's funny -- I haven't even told my wife about getting the muffler on my truck. We went to lunch in it the day after I got it and she didn't even mention anything. Well, this morning I took my 4 year old son to school and it was the first time he has ridden in it since I got the muffler (my wife usually takes him and picks him up.) We hadn't been in the truck for a full minute and he said "Daddy, your truck is loud." I asked him if he liked it and he said it sounded like a racecar ;-) I guess males are more tuned to these kinds of things than females are. I take my 7 year old daughter to school every day and she hasn't mentioned it...
