Well, I had to chose between the two....a Tru-trac or the shoes my rims are wearing. After my bad experience of hydroplaning last year...I had to get new tires. They are Yokohama Parada Spec-X 305/40/22. My last tires were Kuhmo's 305/45/22. The Ride is sooooo much quiter and the bumps are now absorbed instead of being exhorted thru the threadless tires to my back. Heres another intersting fact...I also get better gas mileage. At half a tank I usually get about 145 to 150 miles city/freeway driving but since I replaced the tires, I now get 200 miles on half a tank. The road noise is incomparable to my worn out tires. All I hear is the bubbling of my exhaust now. Here are several pics with the 1 cent test with the old and new tires. I guess I'll have to wait for that tru-trac some other time. I also got my tires from Discount Tires for about $1,149 with installation. The road hazard protection, free life time balancing, and tire rotations every 5,000 miles came with the price of the tire. They broke my left rear TPS but will replace it for free..no charge. Talk about customer service!
