What am I going to be left with if I remove the badges?? A bunch of 3M double sided sticky mess? Kind of like what is left from removing the mudflaps? That Sh*t don't come off.

I made the mistake (prior to lifting the truck) of sealing the edges around the flaps with clear silicone, to prevent dirt/small rocks from getting in behind there and scratching the paint. That worked great at the time, but there is still some left on the front down near the bottom of the rocker that absolutely won't come off. That is one of the reasons I haven't removed the rear flaps yet. Any ideas on how to get it off without trashing the paint?
Now that looks b*tch!n..... I'm in the process of getting rid of the chrome on my truck here, but I will be painting the door handles and tailgate shield to match the paint along with stripping the badges all around.

The double stick tape isn't really too hard to get off. Just need a good soaking with "goo gone" and it will just wipe off. Body shops can strip the tape for you too. I'm most likely going to have them do it for me when I get everything painted.
