Almost everything you list is a money sink on maintenance when bought used and a money sink on depreciation if bought new. Land Rover/Range Rover are just plain horrible. I sold my BMW 740 because the maintenace costs at 79k miles were nearly as much as the annual payments on the Titan. Worse yet is the spectre of a catastrophic failure that costs 50% or more of the value of the car to repair. I was an ardent follower of the 740 bulletin boards. There were guys with $20k used cars that had lunched an engine that would cost $12k to fix. Head gasket is $5k, cats are over $2k, transmission is $6k. Great, great cars to drive but I was scared to own mine any longer.
