Yes that's true. The plugs are easy and they work. Sometimes you get lucky and can plug the tire without taking it off the truck. I've also fixed all my flats for the last 10 years and I'm pretty lazy
so it doesn't take much effort.
Spend a few extra bucks and buy the 'T' handles instead of the straight ones, it will save you a few blisters.
Most garages around here won't do a patch, they claim safety reasons. All use plugs, so save your time and effort. It's easier to do this one yourself.
