It sucks.

Once you select any defrost mode, the compressor turns on. You have to select a non-defrost mode (compressor stays running), switch the ac compressor off so the light goes out (compressor stays running), turn the fan off (compressor shuts off), then when you turn the fan back on, the compressor will be off. Just don't switch to any defrost modes and it will stay off.

You are lucky if you don't drive off the road trying to do this every morning.

One of you geniuses please come up with a mod for this where the compressor button controls the compressor.
