Re: Brake Recall Info

Ok I went and picked up my truck today after the "brake judder repair". Immediatley on seeing the repair report I was concerned becuase they just rground all my rotors and did not replace any parts. I had called in before hand mentioned the Service Bulletin at the start of this post and asked that they check to see if they had the parts to repair my truck under the new warranty. The service rep. checked and said they had the parts and so I made the appointment to get it fixed. I reminded the service rep. of that call.

The service rep. left and came back with another Service Bulletin Class: BR00-004c reference NTB00-033c Oct. 23, 2006. I was told that the repair for 20004 trucks is differnet than for 2005, that 2005's only get rotors turned. The Bulletin above looks like a general "All Nissan; Bulletin and does not mention Titans any where that I see.

Should they replace the brake pads and the other parts mentioned in posts above? Seems to me that if the rotors were "warrped" as my copy of the Warranty repair says that the brake pads must have been unnaturally worn and might not work properly after the rotors were ground to a different tollerance.

Under cause for both repairs it states: "Checked and found front/rear rotors are warped"

"Machined front rotors on car brake lathe as necessary to resolve vibration 40206-ZC00A (front rotor specs 25.9MM before and 25.5MM after)"

"Machined rear rotors on car brake lathe as necessary to resolve vibration 43206-7S00 (rear rotor specs 13.8MM before and 13.4MM after)"
