Since it is adjusted one side seperate from the other, can you level out the lean we have with a full tank of gas?

It seems awful bad sometimes, since the tank is on the outside, not middle. Or is this too much, not allowing it to work for normal loads?

I've read nothing but good about this system, and looked at them at the shop that had my truck last week.
