Re: Remington 7600
My family does a lot of hunting up in Maine in the real thick woods. It can be pretty nasty. They all use the 7600 carbine in 30.06. It does kick, but its fast for a 2nd shot, doesn't usually jam, and is short so its easier to get through thick woods. They also modified them to make them light weight. This is nice for days that you cover a lot of miles.
The Benoit brothers are well known deer hunters from Vermont and they often hunt the same areas that my family does in Maine. They also use the 7600 carbine.

I'd use one but I prefer the feel of my Blaser R93 because I dont like the longer reach in the forearm.
