.30-06, it is available in more bullet weights without having to reload, and has a little less bullet drop and a little more energy. It is also the most widely available bullet out there. You can find them in every store that sells ammo. I think that it is the best all around bullet made. The .300 win mag even if availble will offer no advantages in that gun, just alot more recoil. The 300 win mag drops 5.6 inches at 300 yards with a 150 gr bullet, the .30-06 only drops 7.3 inches. I don't think the 7600 would be accurate enough to make shots out much past 300 yards.
