i just took mine in to the dealer for the 30k mile servicing, and for them to replace both rear seals, but they said something got past the seals and scored the inner axle housing so they are ordering a brand new rear end. i asked them if they can order an '05 version with the finned diff cover and they said that they would take care of it. not sure if nissan would issue a plain 04 axle, so thought i'd be proactive in asking for the upgraded axle.
