Im from the Phoenix Metro area and Im looking to move to the Portland area. I need some cooler weather, green trees, and all around nicer people.

Any places I should look? Any places I should make sure I stay away from?

I would prefer to get a house outside of town a little ways. I wouldnt mind a 30 min drive into town as long as I had a little property.

Anything else that is exciting up there? I think Im going to take a little vaca there and check it out. Anything that is a must see?
