Re: Move to Portland?

Yes Im going to be working. Ive been in the finance industry for quite a few years but Im not sure if im going to stay in it or not. It might be time for a career change. My Fiance is a Funeral Director and she will just be tansferring to a new location there, so that wont be an issue.

Im a pretty avid outdoorsmen, so being able to get out and do stuff is really important to me. I love to go camping, fishing, and hunting. The city life isnt extremely important to me and not at the top of my list. But the jobs offered in the cities and the salaries are what keep me there. I was hoping to get a place maybe about 30 mins outside of town with a small parcel of property and just do the commute. It sure would be nice to be able to go outside and sit on the porch without breaking a sweat because its 115 degrees outside.

Anything or any parts of town I should specifically avoid?
