I live in Vancouver and commute to Clackamas everyday which is on the east side of p-town. That is about a 30 min drive in the am and an hour drive in the pm. Just more time to listen to my awsome sterio. There are alot of nice areas on the east side where I work. There is alot of building going on there but you can get into the country really quick. I have lived all my life in vancouver and that's where I would look if I were you. Look into the Ridgefield area and the Battleground area. Lots of land out there. I was looking at a piece of property last night near Battleground, just over 5 acres of great flat land. They were asking $250,000, which is a little high but a great piece. By the way you can hunt or fish within about an hour in all directions. Personally I like to Stergeon fish on the columbia but you can also hit the ocean for salmon or bottom fish. We have great deer and elk hunting also. I better get back to work but I hope this helps.
