Thin is not bad, thin get's into tight little spaces where thick cannot. The concept that an oil has to be thick to be good is so not correct. Honda is an engine company 1st and foremost, do you know what's in all the new Accords? It's 5W20, yes, not even 5W30, but 5W20.
Nissan gave us a wonderful big V8, with 4-valves per cylinder, an aluminum block, amazing power, and you can be sure they did this through lots of research and testing; do yourself a favor and feed it the specified fluid.
