Re: Brake Recall Info

Uggh! I just got a call from my service rep. Have the Titan in for oil change and seatbelt recall and asked them to check the brakes too. I was told that I needed new pads and rotors and was no longer covered under warranty (truck is 4 mo. over the 36 months). What's BS is that before they performed the TSB they turned the rotors a minimum of three times. Should I be responsible for replacing rotors with only 35K on the truck? This doesn't sound right to me...I have to look at my paperwork but I swore I asked for new rotors with the TSB. New rotors should last much longer than 35K right? They want $651 for parts and labor...

This has me somewhat upset, so I called back expressing my "concern" and them having turned my rotors so many times and service advisor says that they did replace the rotors at 22K. So now , supposedly, the rotors only have 14K on them and they need replacing and cannot be turned! This sounds like BS still! His excuse was, "it's a big truck". Outside a trip to the dump I rarely haul anything! Arggg. Nissan is starting to be like Ford now! Excuses excuses!
