Re: Hog

Wow don't check on a thread for a day and it goes to crap. For the record I trap them so that I can kill and slaughter them when I am ready. For this one I will probably wait until the temp drops. I also shoot them when the opportunity presents itself. Wild pig is much better for you and more tasty imo than pork from the store. I feed the hog scraps from food that is being thrown away, and I also feed it corn and pig feed. It cost me less than 200 bucks to build the trap and it has caught 5 hogs this year. Not a bad return on an investment. The only meat that my family buys from the store is hamburger meat every now and then. We eat hog, deer meat, fish, and shrimp that I caught or killed. As far as this being cruel, I don't really care if you or anyone else thinks it is cruel. The animal will be feed and have water until the day I put a bullet in its head. Actually my kids 8 & 12 will be flipping a quater to see which one gets to pull the trigger.
