This is what I got from another site.
You would need to look at the tuner itself, under the info a setting screen. Under vehicle info. Then power level. then options./ Also, when you first power up the tuner if it says (Vin Locked) it is tuned to the vehicle. I would check with Superchips also, I don't want to have to ship it back lol!

As long as you return the vehicle back to stock, the tuner is unlocked. The tuner will retain the vehicle's VIN until it is used on another. If you don't return it to stock, it stays locked and the next person will have to pay Superchips a $100 to get it unlocked. I started doing a little research when I decided I was going to buy one, I wanted to make sure I didn't get screwed over in the end by buying a used one and not be useable.
