Need Mechanical Fan Blades

Hey everybody, i have one of my fan blades broken off, and need a new one, doesn't have to have the clutch on it, but would make for an easy install. Let me know if anyone has one sitting in they're garage if they went to E-Fan setup or what.

Thanks guys.

I've got my oem fan and clutch just sitting here but I'm in ga. Shipping would prob be outrageous though. If your interested make me an offer. I have no idea what they cost from Nissan or if they are available aftermarket from a parts store.

Re: Need Mechanical Fan Blades

CVTitan05,....Hello, I had a piece of one of my fan blades break off from my T. Hers what happened with mine.

The other day I attempted to start my T after it had been sitting for about a month in my garage. I do not drive it that much, not a daily driver. When I attempted to try and start my T, the battery said "No way". I hooked up my battery charger and was able to get my T started.

So I decided to take the T out for a good run. Drove for appox 20 miles to do some Christmas shopping and grabbed a bite to eat. Heading home and down the road in the middle of nowhere, I decided to "gas the pedal some" to charge up my battery. On the way out I had heat coming out of the heater. But on the way back I never could get the heater to put out any heat. I saw a post on here about how the water heater valve "sticks" and that you have to take out the "geared pin" and manually turn the top gear to get heat through the heater.

The next morning I opened the hood to my T and discovered anti-freeze everywhere under the hood. I attempted to try and locate where the anti-freeze was coming from. I checked the radiator and discovered it was low after attempting to pressure check the system. Added water to bring up the level in the radiator. As I was pouring water into the radiator, water was running out the bottom of the radiator just as fast as I was pouring it in.

I purchased my 2007 T LE KC back in Aug 2012. I saw that I have what appeared to be an "all aluminum racing" type of radiator in my T.

So I decided to remove the radiator and have it repaired. When I got the radiator out, "CSF” brand, I noticed there was a fresh “huge gouge” in the middle of the radiator. I also discovered a piece of my fan blade sitting under the engine cover on top. Had it repaired and the guy told me it was leaking from the huge gouge in the middle of the radiator.

Here's my thought on this “huge gouge” out of my radiator. I think when I decided to "gas the pedal some" to charge up my battery some, the fan must have "flexed" enough to hit and gouge my radiator, cuz I did not hit anything or run over anything that could have caused that damage to my radiator. I have seen videos where guys have done burn outs and I don't think they are repairing or replacing their radiators every time. I didn't do a "burn out" or abuse my T, just gas the pedal a little bit.

I was wandering if anyone else had anything like this happened to them with their T and or if it was due to having the "all aluminum racing" type of radiator in my T. It was not any fun pulling that radiator out of the T or putting it back in. Not hard...but not easy either.

I'm going to keep using my old fan for now. Only a small piece broke off. May replace it next year with an aftermark one.

You could probably parcel post it for 20 bucks.

Re: Need Mechanical Fan Blades

I can make a fan shroud for it really easy, i have access to a CNC plasma cutter, so i can make damn near anything. The only reason why i dont want to go to e fan setup is i don't have the money for it right now.

Im actually going to make custom mounts for the radiator/tranny cooler/PS cooler/ overflow tank/etc and then just run it without the shroud.

Re: Need Mechanical Fan Blades

i have the 2 e fans in a shroud on a thermostat on my T and if i tow or work the RPMs up it will start to overheat if not careful. i suggest stay with mechanical and scrap the efan idea.
