Wanted: 17" Wheels

I'm looking for a decent (don't have to be perfect) set of the 17" offroad wheels. My truck originally had them but the dealer swapped them out with an LE before I bought it, so I have 18s. I need to drop down to 17s in order to get winter tires. I'm willing to pay shipping and a reasonable price for the wheels. I do not want the tires, just wheels. They can be scratched/dinged/whatever, as long as they are useable. Tire pressure sensors would be a plus, but not necessary.

Would you take steelies, as you're going to mount winter tires anyway? or aluminum only?

It's funny, at first I was thinking why would you need snow tires on a 4x4...then I saw why.

How much do you guys get / year. I get 12-15ft/year where I am and have never need snow tires on a 4x4.

I would take steel wheels if the price was right (as in cheap).

We don't get much snow where I live in Alaska, but we have icy nasty roads. Right now I'm in Anchorage with my daughter (she's in the hospital) and I have to drive home in the next few days. There is a travel advisory out for the highway that says don't travel unless you have to and if you do you need 4WD and tire chains. I'm thinking, lovely, here I have the Titan (hubby has our Focus with winter tires) and no winter tires. Gonna be a slow drive home. So, yes, snow tires on a 4x4 are a fact of life up here.........that is if you want to keep it rubber side down.
