WTB Silver Bumper

Just got a radiant silver SE Crew Cab 4x4 and would love to replace the chrome bumper with a radiant silver. Would like to buy or trade. I am in the Houston Texas area.

I have a buddy that has been looking to swap his silver bumper for a chrome one. We also live in the Houston area. If you are willing to swap, he will definitely do so. His bumper is in perfect condition and there are people on this site that can back that claim. Although he isn't a member here, many of the members here know him because he goes to all of the Titan meets. If this is something that you are interested in, then PM me and we can get it done.

One more thing. We would love to see you at the Memorial Park meet this Sunday (17th). If you like, you guys could probably do the swap right there.

VShortt -- Any idea how hard they are to swap? Not sure I can make it next weekend, I'm on-call, let me talk to a guy on my team tomorrow to see if we can trade weeks or have someone cover for me.

I personally don't know how difficult it is, but I can tell you that there are several guys at the meet who have done it so it can't be terribly difficult. If you can't make it to the meet, then that would be fine. I'm sure you guys could meet any time and any place. Two things to note. Number one, he is out of town and won't be back until Sunday (meet day). Number two, the bumper that you are calling silver is just the regular bumber that comes on XE trim Titans, regardless of color. It just so happens that it happens to be a pretty good match for the sheer silver titans but it IS NOT the exact same paint. I'm only telling you just in case you aren't aware. You should swing by the dealership and check out the bumper on any XE. That is exactly what you would be getting in trade.

If its a different color silver, than I'd rather not. All the '05 XE's I saw had color keyed bumpers. I went to NissanUSA.com to verify this and found that it is in fact the case. They have it listed as "Body-color front bumper" for the XE.

Uh oh. Now I see the confusion. You are speaking of the front bumber. I thought you were speaking of the rear. If you are talking about the upper bumber piece (the grille), then yes he will definitely trade. If you are talking about the lower bumper piece, that in not an easy swap. The lower bumber on an XE is different than that of an SE or an LE. Its the difference between a 1 piece bumber and a 3 piece bumber. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, I am looking for the front bumper. From exploded diagrams I have seen it looks like the bumper itself is the same on all models, on the SE & LE its chromed with side plastic 'covers' that are same as the body color, on the XE, the center of the grill is painted and then the side plastic 'covers' are attached like on an SE or LE. I could be wrong, but thats what I got from the diagrams.
