Kelly Blue Book.

Has the private party value at $27,950. Also, if you can buy one for $28K out the door then let me know, I would be amazed. 7% taxes on $28K is nearly $2000. I am a private party seller so the sell would be tax free.

Where is there no tax on private party sale? MN still sticks you with sales tax when you go transfer the title.

What you could buy for now newX.85

It is best to ignore Kelly Blue book-they aren't realistic. The best way to calculate what you can get for it is to find out the best local price you could currently buy it fore new.
A crude guess would be Invoice-$3000.Multiply this number by .85%.Someone buying used will want a significant discount-at least 15% less than he can buy it new for.
Titans-and most vehicles drop like stones the 1st year or so.
Most states charge full sales tax on private sales-you are lucky your's doesn't.The no sales tax is a big plus-add about 80% of the sales tax savings to your price.
Good luck.Charlie
PS Take a look on Ebay to get a rough idea of what they sell for.A loaded(DVD NAV-BT AIRBAG PK-UB etc) 4X4 CC 2004 will go for-if it reaches reserve-about $25000-27000.Your vehicle is a 2005,so that is a plus-the KC is a minus-the CC sell more readily.

What was the sticker price on your truck? Knock off $6,000 and thats what you get them for new now.

ADDED: I got my $30,690 Crew Cab for $24,690 last weekend with 24 miles on it.
