Overhead Racks and Basket For Sale

I installed bedrails a couple of hours ago, and as a result, I'm selling my overhead racks, mega-warrior basket, and related hardware.

Items were only used on a couple of trips, but were very useful during that time.

These things came originally in a ridiculously huge cardboard box which made a great long-range rifle target. Shot it full of holes and threw it away. Therefore, I prefer local pick-up. I'll consider driving a hundred miles or so from the Central Kentucky area to meet the buyer.

Is $250.00 too much?

Rack responses

Hey SWTX,
You have a keen eye for detail. The mat you see in my truck is a "stall mat" purchased for around 50 bucks at a local Tractor Supply outlet. It's intended for use as padding and insulation over concrete and under a bed of straw for calf and foal stalls. I would think any of the farm and feed type places in Texas ought to have them.

The thing is about 3/4" thick, originally 4'x6', and weighs approx. 60lbs. I trimmed the length of it to allow tailgate closure in my CC. It's probably made of recycled tires.
It allows for great cushioning and friction. Concrete blocks won't slide on it. Loading it requires an accomplice.....it's heavy and floppy and unwieldy. I imagine it to be similar to loading the fresh corpse of a big fat woman.

And to you, DeTitan...I got your PM. The racks mount into the utili-track of your truck and the bases hover over the very portion of your bed where your bedrails are installed. You could, I suppose, remove your rails but leave the mounts in the stake pockets when you install the racks...but I suppose you would prefer to withdraw your offer to purchase.

No problem here if that is your intent.

Thanks,
KAP

MajorKAP,

I will still take em.
I was mixed up as to the bed rails, I have utility track no bed rails!
I thought the side wall tracks were called bed rails or some such. Did a search on truck bed rails and saw a pic of something that looks like a bar/handle along the truck bed side wall top. I don't have any thing of the sort.

Whats your schedule looking like this weekend?

Thumbs up Transfer of Ownership

A couple of pics of DeTitan's newest purchase. Met him halfway to complete the transaction. Both parties happy, I think.

Is that an operational brake light on the rear rack?

It is an operational lamp if the owner decides to complete the installation as per supplied instructions. The wiring harness and associated components are included with the rack purchase.

Hey MajorKAP,

Thanks for the pic, one with both the trucks side by side is missing!

The rack does look great, I will have to wait for the rains to stop to use it on my next outing.

Thanks again for the rack and the install lessons.

Your truck is awesome really like the grill it looks solid and very well made, very Continental!

Regards,

Thanks, Bum. The bike is sitting out in the garage in the company of a few others.

Oh, and DeTitan, here's the pic you referenced.

I tell ya MajorKAP,

That grill is really growing on me.

Now to find that ole money tree!

That is one great looking grill and solid too.

Thanks for the pic I will save it.

Wish the background on top of my ugly truck was clearer to show the profile of the rack, it does look sweet.

Thanks again.

Regards,
Neil
