Yep that's the same size that magnaflow muffler that Magnaflow uses in their 15848 catback system which yielded 18hp and 22lbs of trq in Shailey's Exhaust Tests.
I remember when Shailey did his tests on exhausts on CT of a similar magnaflow muffler. Just the muffler yielded comparable horsepower and lots more torque than entire catback systems but we all know it takes torque to move this big rig just like the diesels LOL.
I believe the numbers for just the muffler were 8hp and 14lbs of torque. Whereas the entire Gibson catback only yielded 12hp 14trq; the Borla catback yielded even less at 12hp 9trq and the Flowmaster 70series catback was the worst at 12hp 8trq.
If I did'nt get such an awesome deal on my JBA catback from the manager at JBA because of RPM outlet's screwup, I would have definately still kept this because for what it is; it feels just as strong. . The gains on this muffler alone are even better in some cases than purchasing and installing an entire CAI. One of the Best Bang for the Buck, if not the Best Bang for the Buck, Performance Modification.
