Anyone upgrade their iPhone in North Texas?

Anyone recently upgrade to 3g in the DFW area of North Texas and want to unload their first gen iPhone? I'll pay a reasonable price and you can get some quick cash. I'm not currently in contract on my cell, so I can get a new 3g, but I want to find one to play with for a little while to see if I like it before signing a long term contract with AT&T.

PM me with what you've got, what you're asking, and where you're located.

Thanks!

Re: Anyone upgrade their iPhone in North Texas?

Just to let you know I did upgrade to 3G and my buddy bought my old iphone so he would not have to sign contract. AT&T and apple made him sign a two year contract. If you activate a iphone new or old you will sign a contract. My buddy went round and round with apple and AT&T to still end up having a contract. Hope this information will help you out.

Re: Anyone upgrade their iPhone in North Texas?

Thanks for the updates, what I'm hoping to do, is use a pay-as-you-go sim card to evaluate the phone for what my typical usage will be and see if I like the interface. Just short term stuff, once I decide if I like it, I won't have any trouble signing a long term with AT&T, T-mobile. Since I've never played with one, I'm not sure I want to give up my current phone and plan with Sprint yet.

I'd even rent one for a week or two if I could figure out how to do it just so I can make sure its what I want to do. The initial phone investment is small potatoes compared to the cost of 2 years of service with the expensive iPhone rate plans. I just don't want to get locked in and discover I hate the phone.
