Re: New Cajun Products

I got the ball rolling. Parts are starting to show up. I have to say other businesses should take notes, the guys with Cajun are more than helpful and quick. Top notch customer service!

I am very pleased with my setup so far. Couple of thoughts -

Replace the header nuts. It's about $50.00 more but you've got 1500 - 2000 in this, 50 bucks shouldn't break the bank. Nissan recommends they not be reused because they are locking nuts.

Use the Nissan gaskets like the Cajuns recommended! I cannot stress this enough! I had them and told the shop to use the Nissan gaskets - and they did on the headers (thank God!) - but they thought I only meant the headers and used the supplied gaskets on the bpipes to headers connection. Needless to say, within 3 months the first one blew out and 6 weeks later the second one blew out. The shop replaced them for me (I kept the Nissan gaskets when they did the work) - but it's not a good feeling when your exhaust starts leaking and you can't be sure why until you crawl under and look.

Finally got rid of my stock cats - been sitting in the garage since I did this install. Thought I would share - I got 200 bucks for them from a catalytic converter recycler. I have one local (Browns recycling) but your junk yards should know where one is near you. The local place requires you to either be a licensed junk yard OR have a clear title (no liens) on your vehicle. They will take a picture of you with your cats (to keep thieves from selling them.)

Was great to make a little back on the project
