Picked up My Titan Thursday....

and I am looking forward to driving this beauty. 100k on it so far, and a 1000k road trip planned for next weekend.

Re: Picked up My Titan Thursday....

I noticed by your signature that you pull a 25' Fifth-Wheel trailer. I'm assuming that you haven't pulled the trailer with your new Titan yet. I've read many posts on TitanTalk that don't recommend pulling a 5th wheel trailer with the Titan.
I pull a 23' TT trailer with my Titan - Definitely no problems towing the 5,500 lb trailer

Re: Picked up My Titan Thursday....

Nope I haven't pulled the 5th yet, but for the life of me I can't understand why anyone would say not too... pound for pound its easier to pull a 5th than a bumper hitch, provides a smoother ride, and way better turning radius.

Have talked to 3 ppl who have pulled various sized 5ths with the Titan, the biggest was a 27' at 8200# He pulled it last summer for 3500k and had no problems.

Re: Picked up My Titan Thursday....

I know the Titan has no problem pulling a 8,500 lb trailer FW or TT but what worries me is the pin weight - I've been thinking of trading my TT for a 27' Titanium FW trailer - but wasn't sure that the Titan could handle the pin weight of around 1,700 lbs. What's the pin weight of your trailer ???

Re: Picked up My Titan Thursday....

My hitch weight is 1200#, a little bit more than I would like for sure, with me and the wife I am over payload. 1700# would be too much for my liking.
