Canada wins GOLD

I wanted to post this thread to congratulate TEAM CANADA's junior hockey team on their winning the GOLD medal for the third year in a row in beating the Russians for the 3rd straight year

Canada's record against the Russians in the last 3 years is 15-3. 6-1, 5-0 and 4-2 in this last game. They haven't lost a game since 2004 i think.

I wish i could have seen any of the games, that tournament never gets televised here. Hockey fans in the US or at least in California are starved for coverage.

US team again disappoints, but will come home with bronze. Could have easily been US and Russia, that shootout loss was a heartbreaker! That format is fine for soccer, but bites for hockey in my mind.

Yep, the boys pull off another one. The shootout in the semis had me concerned watching it, some great hockey team Canada played in all their games.
