Re: Canadians, introduce yourselves!!!

Hey,
Woody here in Nelson, BC
Just moved here from Calgary a couple of years ago. Wouldn't you know of the three Titans here, one is identical to mine minus the LowRider cap.
Just turned over 55,000 kms on my 2004 CC LE.
I tow an 8000 lb trailer over mountain passes with no problem. Did put SilverStar Ultras on as it gets awfully dark here late at night.
Only problem is getting 18 inch real winter tires. Anyone know someone who makes them?

Welcome to TT

I saw a set of Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3's on tirerack.com 265/70/18,s for 134.00 or 265/60/18's for 149.00. I dont own a set... yet , but they are getting great reviews so far.

Hope this helps.

Re: Canadians, introduce yourselves!!!

Hi All.

Rick here on Vancouver Island. I just picked up a new 07 CC last week. I have a Leer 100R canopy on order and a couple little items. I had a 91 Chevy K2500 diesel before.

Quick question for the Canadian crew, anyone have any recommendations for online ordering of Titan parts for delivery up here in Canada? I have a 95 Harley FLSTC, that I also bought new. I have replaced much of the bike with great aftermarket equipment, S&S 96" engine, PM Brakes, Corbin Seat, LED lights, the list is never ending... Most of my parts comes for JPCycles, who are great to deal with and don't ship stuff with UPS and their silly brokerage fees .

BTW, I didn't even get the truck home before the K&N Air filter installed! :+)

What I am looking for is the equivalent Titan online parts site. Good service, both in ordering and technical support, and good prices.

Any recommendations, or just as valuable any sites that have proven to be problematic?

Also, I am very intrested in ordering a grill insert from Dunder Dan, givin all the great feedback from this site. Anyone from this side of the 49th try one of Dan's grills?

Maximum Respect,

Rick

Hi Rick,

I Ebay most of my parts and find some good deals through members here. A couple of places that I see online are:

prgproducts.com - A must for lifts and levels etc. This dudes good
I ordered my mini lift from Greg

nissanparts247.com
courtesyparts.com
stillen.com

Hope this helps. BTW UPS's brokerage are BS. To get around them all you have to do is call UPS and tell them you want to clear the shipment yourself. You then go down to UPS pick up the paperwork, go to customs, show your bill of sale, pay the taxes, go back to UPS and pick the item up. Bingo no brokerage fee. It sounds like alot of work but it saves a ton of cash over time.

Thanks man.

Now that I see the Banks kit on nissanparts247 I can start talking myself into why I need one for spring.

Actually, I might hack this issue with a MagnaFlow and a nice exhaust tip. Time to buy a 649 ticket!
BTW I see there is a Air Bag Anti-Theft Bolt?!?! You got to be kidding me.... stealing an airbag?!?! I would have never guessed.

And thanks for the heads up on working around the UPS hidden tax.

Rick

Re: Canadians, introduce yourselves!!!

Edmonton, AB

I am on my second Titan, had 2004 LE CC. Took delivery of 08 CC long box 2 months ago. Just had the ProComp Stage 2 kit installed. Added the ProComp MX6-R shocks instead of the supplied MX6. Custom rear overload springs. Kept original 20' rims as I want the Axis Titan rims but they are discontinued and nobody has been kind enough to sell their used ones to me yet. (not a big chrome fan on 4x4's). Mickey Thompson ATZ 35x12.5-R20. Happy with ride so far.

Re: Canadians, introduce yourselves!!!

Mark from Toronto,
I'm probably the youngest Canadian Titan owner. Just Picked up the 04 Titan Se King Cab Off Road 4x4. My family is all about FORD (they own 5...3 x f-150, 1 x Explorer, 1 x Bronco) When I brought home the Titan they wanted to kick me out of the house!!...lol.........But I love the truck....Love it so much I'm willing to pay the $520 a month insurance! and the gas to boot.

I'm 23 years old from North York, Toronto......spend most of my summer in Wasaga Beach and Parry Sound (little otter lake).........Winters snowmobiling in Parry Sound and snowboarding all over Canada.

Shouldn't have any trouble with those balmy Whitehorse winters. Guess it's you and I representin' the North, huh?

I got a quote on Nokian Hakkapeliitta (Vatiiva IIRC) for my Titan from Kal Tire. We run Nokian's on all our light trucks at the mine and I have a set of Nokian WR's on my Maxima. Excellent traction on snow and ice for a very reasonable price. The Vatiivas are a 10 ply, load range E. I'm ditching these 4 ply OEM Goodrich tires ASAP.
