Canadian Titan Owners Unite

Just like to hear from Canadian Titan owners (especially those in the Prairie provinces). Say Hi and tell how your experiences have been with the Titan

IMO the best truck I've owned, even with the many MAJOR problems I've had. Handles incredibly everywhere, but on bumpy gravel roads at speed... a little too stiff w/stock 18" rims and Goodyear tires. I'm surprised that I don't see more about the Rockford stereo...its unbelievable for a stock stereo. Better "bump" than the Mark Levinson in the Lexus IMHO. Any weather...no problem, and I see alot. Just put 0W-30 in the engine and it sure starts better in the cold. Have to go w/synthetic in the rest as soon as I get the chance. I'm a directional driller for oil and gas, its busy now, so I won't get the chance for a while. I see every kind of driving conditions and have driven the Titan in all of them and I think it is by far the safest truck. Except for the fact that the superb cornering confidence makes you feel indestructable.

Hello from Prince George B.C.
I really enjoy my Titan.

What kind of luck have you guys had with Nissan Service?
Nissan Canada = Very Bad
Local Dealer = Very Good

I guess I've been lucky, I've had my Titan for almost 4 months now (haven't really driven it all that much - only 4,200 km - but wait till the trailer towing season starts) and no problems to report which is a good thing cause living here in Dauphin, MB, I'm about one hundred miles from the nearest Nissan dealership. Dauphin is a town of roughly 8,000 people and there are only two Titans in town. I sure get a lot of stares when I'm driving around town. Great truck - love that power and sound.
What kind of problems have you had with your truck ???

At 8600kms
The Transfer case needed replacing, something to do with a broken snap ring on the shaft that engages 4hi and 4lo.I have an entire thread with me doing a lot of whining . Anyway after two month's it was finally fixed, and the dealer really looked after me. The biggest negative for me was Nissan Canada's lack of support or care. I was denied a rental car because I didn't purchase extended warranty. If you guy's don't have this you should talk to your dealer to find out if you could end up in the same boat. If you did buy extended warranty I am curious as to what you were charged. I now have 24,000 kms and the truck has been really good since the big fix.

You must do a fair amount of driving - Is this mostly highway or city - and what is your gas mileage. Did you notice any improvement in the gas mileage as you drove more ??? Right now I'm getting about 18.5 MPG (highway) and around 14.5 MPG (city).
I never purchased the extended warranty but when I was looking at it, it was going to cost around $2,500 so I said I'll take my chances.

Hellooo from the Toronto area

best vehicle ive ever owned, even with the minor problems ive had, id still buy another, the power is amazing, i love the handling, the sound, the attention i get everywhere

have almost 11,000km on her, what surprized me the most is the winter stability, whenever i get into my mothers envoy or any of the other trucks in our family and business they feel very scary, i cant get the truck stuck in anything and theres tons of confidence in bad weather conditions, although i dont do anything stupid on public roads, tempting but be carefull everyone!

funny thing is ive had a couple dreams about the titan lol, and how it was being traded in on many diff cars, for example one dream about it being traded in for a lexus sc430, and other nice cars, and in the dream id always end up feeling sad and about to go crazy because id miss the titan, i really do love it, i think i may be a little on the obsessed side lol, good to hear from you Canadian titan owners eh

Hunter
My driving is probably split 50-50 Hwy + City. The last time I checked I was averaging 17 highway 13 city, but I would have to say my mileage has improved as the km's added up.If I had to guess I would say I started to notice improvement between 10 and 15,000km's.This is by no means scientific, just when I started to notice higher kms between fillups.Maybe I am just braver with the tank guage now.

Can us Rochester people be considered Canadian...after all, Toronto is just across the Lake and it would be easier to go to a meet in Canada than NYC...go figure.

Welcome neighbour

It would be an interesting proposition to hold a Canadian Titan meet but unfortunately Canada is such a HUGE country - it would be impossible

Any ideas anyone

Hows it goin eh?
I have a Silver CC LE 4x4 and I live in Red Deer AB. and My Titan loves winter. The city does not understand the term "Snow 'Removal' System" It uses the term "Snow 'push it off to the side and not clean out ruts and dont bother sanding either' System" So I drive in 4x4 now all the time with the heated seats on low. In 2x4 I found that at an intersection when I go into turning lane and the SLIP light comes on, the truck just Lags and slowly crawls foward even with pedal to the metal, some computer controlled safty anti slip rediect power thing kicks in I think. when this first happened I thought the truck lost all power but now in 4x4 it shoots out like a rocket. I keep the sunroof shade closed also to keep the cold draft off my balding head. It has 16000km now and as for gas milage I get about 400km on 80 L "ish" and I fill up at PetroCan using the mid grade fuel...which when I first got my Titan was like 95cents a Liter...ya...I went through my $500 free gas in 2 months...LOL :C. I just took it in for service for the first time for the recall and my power steering hose had a leak in it. Red Deer Gord Scott Nissan dealer was great to me, they were fast, friendly, and ready for any request I have.
Good Day Fellas

Went for lunch yesterday, and finally met a fellow Titan owner. It was nice to chat and share experiences. Now I'm confident that all Titan owners are good guys,or is that all Canadians?(chuckle). The only negative is me being jelous(sp?) of his truck with the off-road package that I don't have.Brian if you see this it was nice to meet you and thanks for the good advice.
