Stanley Cup Playoffs Begin - Next Week
Well the NHL has finally reached the end of the regular season - who will get the 8th place in the Eastern Conference - Montreal, NY Islanders or Toronto (My vote is Montreal) - as for the Western Conference - Calgary or Colorado (My vote is Calgary)
Any predictions for major upsets ???

I am an ex-Torontonian but live in Detroit. Hmmm... that's a hard one.
Detroit versus Toronto in the Stanely Cup? Just like in the Original Six day eh? That would truly be something to watch but back to reality. There will be some surprises for sure! Just hope the Wings aren't on the receiving end though. Detroit versus NJ. |

Woops, did I just publicly cheer for my team after this brutal season? I'm kinda hoping a newer American team like the preds or the ducks wins in hopes of the nhl doing a bit better south of the boarder.....

Well, Montreal choked BIG time - as for Toronto - I hope the NY Islanders beat NJ - Would never cheer for Toronto.
How's this for a prediction - Vancouver vs Ottawa with Vancouver winning the Stanley Cup. As for increased attendance in the States - Nashville can't get 50% attendance; Atlanta not much better; even NJ hasn't been getting sell outs (they play the most boring game of hockey)

HAHA, I don't really think they put in a great effort yesterday, they were just wanting to finish up the season with everyone healthy to play dallas.
The one thing that concerns me is the secondary scoring. It is gonna be a big part of the Canucks making some noise this year. They can't count on Loungo to win every game for them, and as in past seasons, the Sedins will be #1 on the opponents shut them down list. GO CANUCKS!!! Oh, and I am sooooooooo happy Toronto is out hahaha
