Re: CAI operating in COLD winter conditions

Glad I could help.

I live in River heights, closer to Polo Park.

I bought my AEM Brute Force off EBay for $204.00 + shipping. If you have it delivered UPS and tell the driver at your door that you want to clear it yourself, you don't have to pay a brokerage fee. More on that later if you want to go that direction.

Most shops in town would order the K&N in, but they wanted over $400 for it , and I like the idea of a dry filter anyways.

I did the install myself in no time. If you want to take a look at mine before you make up your mind we could meet somewhere. I could also help you do the install if you are interested.

Re: CAI operating in COLD winter conditions

Thanks Coldtitan

I'm definitely going to stay away from the K&N CAI as I want the dry filter. I wouldn't mind seeing yours before I proceed any further. If you don't mind, why don't you PM me - giving me your first name and contact phone# - then I'll give you a call to set up a meeting.

My name is Richard

I totally agree. Funny how cold weather makes you hungry for chevy or even a Hemi!!

You can have all the CAI they make under the hood and nothing compares to drawing in -25C air

Re: CAI operating in COLD winter conditions

I also have the brute force intake on my 06 titan. I live 8 hours north of winnipeg. I got the airaid throttle body spacer put on too. I dont advise it too much, makes it sounds sweet and a tiny bit better mid range power, but my gas mileage is shot. It could be because of my bigger tires and leveling kit but i'm not sure. I also just had my front axle fall off, i guess there is a recall for that.
