aaaahhhh.... see, here on the West Coast, we still measure the gallons by the pint, but on the East Goast, with it's heavy European influence, must've gone to measurement by the liters... that may be why my gallon size is a bit larger in volume yet I still get less miles per my gallons, so it could be the West Coast air and Pacific breeze pushing against my Titan while I drive around town... .... Re: Uprev in Red Deer, AB

Thanks for all the interest in my quoted mileage increase but I forgot to state that I was not driving as I normally do. I have an extremely heavy foot as most Titan owners do. This mileage statement was an honest measurement and I know for sure that I`ll never see it unless I have the WIFE and kids riding with me. What kind of mileage you guys get south with your gas? I know next month when I have my cams installed that my mileage will really go back to S***!!!! Hey Saskattack I hope you can make it to Red Deer soon to check out whats in the works at VEXS . The boys have a titan of their own to test. I think I`ll let them do the first canadian supercharger. If it does what they say it will then I`ll do mine soon.

Sounds like a trip to Vex is in immeadiate order. Franklin said he wanted to buy one and start to experiment. Can't wait to see what they come up with.

Actually, there is a difference in a gallon's volume between the US and Canada. The US gallon is 3.785 litres while the Imperial gallon that is used as a measure in Canada is 4.546 litres. That's a volume difference of 20%.

On a recent long haul (~1000 km or 600 miles), my lifted '07 CC with 35" rubber got 18.5 MPG (Imperial)...so that's about 15.4 MPG (US). That was with the cruise control set at 110 KPH (~68 MPH). No Uprev. My understanding from SaskAttak is that UpRev also now has an "economy" tune that alters AFR and limits RPM. Perhaps SaskAttak may want to fill us in on his experience with this tune.

well, now... THAT's! the exact point I was getting at... thanks for the standard vs. metric comparisons... and explaining the mileage increase as well... it never dawned on me to actually look at where ya'all are from, "AB" = AlBerta, Canada... if I did I would've realized the difference in volume measurement right off the get-go, Canada vs. U.S., as for speed, I understand the difference, as I recall someone at one point actually said they had their Titan (w/speed limiter) over the 150 mark... needless to say, 150 kph only equates to 90 mph... kinda reminds me of driving in Europe when I had to always guess-timate my kph speed, (mph X .6 = kph)...

Sask Attack! I can hardly hold back any more! The Boys have gone on from BRAINSTORMING superchargers up to turbocharging our 5.6ss . Sh## .I can hardly sleep now thinking about the supercharger! I think that their on the right track for our driving needs here in canada. We all need to leave for work at 5.am and get there at 4.59.

I have been reading this talk of the difference between US and Canadian mileage and something still didn't seem right to me. I am a mechanic by trade now retired and have seen almost everything out there. When I first read this I was ready to drive to Red Deer and have UPREV put in my truck. Then their were more questions raised about the validity of the claims. It did seem to good to be true. Then we all got confused by the differance between US and Canadian measurements. So this morning my Grandson got me an email account and now I can write on here. I did some math and well numbers never lie but liars use numbers. Here it is no matter how you look at it this is a claimed 46.4 % improvement. That is huge and almost unbelievable. When I used to be a mechanic we had certain ways we had to do mileage checks because mileage was a common complaint. We found out that most people check their mileage incorrectly. Could you please tell me JAYHOO how you did your mileage checks. With the price of fuel this is a very valid concern to me.
On a side note I was following this article from the beginning there was a huge squabble in this section about the quality of this business. Then all of it is suddennly gone and next is huge mileage claims. Almost seemed like it was an advertisement from the business. I am not calling you a liar JAYHOO but do you work for this business? Please understand the suspicions of an old mechanic who has never seen anything add 46% to mileage. I may be an old man but it just didn't seem right to me. If the mileage really is that good I will get it done right away $1.25 a liter has me concerned. I really hope JAYHOO saw that good of a gain. Also JAYHOO what type of petrol do you use.

I have put the end results of my math for all to see in both liters per 100kms
US MPG and Canadian MPG.

Here is the math method I used JAYHOO's mileage numbers and converted it into liters then miles into KMs for the Candian BS way of measuring econnomy but it let me go back into US gallons. Here us the results.

Canadian gallon is 4.54 liters
US gallon is 3.785 liters

So Before was 20.26 liters per 100km or 11.75 US Gallons per mile or 14.0 miles per Canadian gallon

After UPREV 13.84 liters per 100km or 17.12 miles per US gallon or 20.5 miles per Canadian gallon

Re: Uprev in Red Deer, AB

Hello and welcome Old Man Nissan. I just got back from the day`s off at Trenvil and was glad to see some interest from AB. I know that my increase in mileage seems crazy but I never believed it would get there either. My mileage pulling my 26 ft has improved greatly too . My mileage in town is still very s!!!!!!!! , at about 14mpg if I baby it. I don,t work or have any business connection with Vex but I am thankful for their positive results with my Titan. It is only 100 km,s to Red Deer .Check it out for yourself.

Re: Uprev in Red Deer, AB

Old Man Nissan. I got more time tonight to let you know more about my titan and my mileage.I generally use shell #1 gas and their lube. My 20.5 mpg was highway only driving at 110 to120 kph as that,s what I normally drive at. My normal in town and running about is still very bad as I have a heavy foot and it is around the 14 mpg.I did more than just the Uprev , I did the CAI, true duel ex. and the old girl is in getting a J.W.T. cam job as I slowly type this message.I truely look at this improvement as about the same as I got when I wired my choke open on my old 351m in my 80 ford 4x4. It took me a while to straighten that out as gas was only probably about 39.5 cent,s per litre. Those day,s are long gone. I have nothing to gain by claiming this mileage but I wish anyone out there that had improved mileage or good #,s would share it.

Re: Uprev in Red Deer, AB

I so need to get to Red Deer to talk to Vex. But..I have a baby coming any day and the wife said no more go fast parts for the Titan until I get her a bigger car. Made sense so now I wait.

I don't even want to call them because then I will have to come up with a good reason when the wife asks me why my truck seems faster lol

Boy,s I can,t beleive the increase my JWT cams have given me. I don,t want to make any claims as it would definetly pis;;;; somebody. Next weekend I,ll do a test and I,ll let you in on the results. I know that they work well in our Canadian air.I,m going Hemi hunting tomorrow.

Re: Uprev in Red Deer, AB

Given mine is a 07 with VVT cams, the JWT cams seem less attractive.

However, I did order a Bully Dog Power Pub, which I will use to set my timing, wot, and speed limiter. I have heard great things about Uprev, AND that repeaded use can screw up the ECU.

For my limited use, the BBPP seems to be the ticket.
