So I go to get tuned in less then a week. I believe I will be the shop's first Titan. One of the guys from Uprev (Jamie I think) will be there at the same time, he is helping the shop get set-up so I will be getting tuned basically from Uprev.
I will post how it goes. I know the shop owner wants his shop to be known for Nissan/Infinity vehicles. I will be making a appointment for my truetrac next, hopefully with in a week or two from getting tuned.
If anyone wants contact info for the shop PM and I will give you email and phone numbers.

First Titan in Canada Uprev'd with dyno
1997 XE Hardbody 5-speed, 4x4 - 'lil tank
I met the guys in the shop last night. They imported their Dyno Dynamics dyno from Australia, it is the last, greatest dyno out now...even the dyno guy from Texas was drooling as they unpacked it.
The onwer is looking at getting right into the Titans. The shop will be buying one soon to use for R & D. They seems to know that the Titan guys are hurting for mod options, so they want to fill the void.
My truck is a ****ing missle and it is all thanks to Vex. I now can lite up my 33's with no problem and can pitch my truck completly sideways on dry pavement with the tires smoking....I think they did a pretty good job.
The 'issue' Vex was having was not a matter of lack of experience in the industry, but rather a lack of times they have done dyno runs on their NEW dyno. It is a completly different dyno then what Uprev even uses, so there was a bit of a learning curve still happening when we were there. That and Franklin has never had a Titan on a dyno or used the Uprev software. Once Jared, who has dyno'd 100's of Titans and help develop Uprev, showed him how Franklin caught on with no problem. When you do something for the first time are you a pro right away????
After awhile they had everything running smooth and I got one hell of a tune!! Yes I was there awhile, but they wanted to make sure they got the best tune for me, Jared said he was impressed with my motor and wanted to see where he could get it. Better then faking some **** and handing you the truck with a half a$$'d tune....I was only charged 3 hrs for my time.
The Dyno Dynamics dyno they have show lower numbers then that of the dyno Uprev uses. I have 187 rwhp on Vex's dyno, however Jared said I am probably around 310 rwhp if I was on his dyno. To put it into perspective, Vex did one of the owner/partner's Duramax a few days before. It has a after market turbo, chipped, and all the goodies on it...it pull about 100 hp more then me...that isn't bad when you take into to account the acheivable HP gains a diesel can get. Jared said if they used a Mustang dyno I would show about 250rwhp.... but #'s count for ****....I lay blackies like a muthafacker now!
Vex is not new to the industry, just to Red Deer. Franklin (the tuner) has been around, I beleive he mentied he lived in Florida and was a tuner there working on Infinity's and Beemers... I'm sure Florida's got a bigger scene then Red Deer. My first visit to the shop there was a G35 with a stroker motor and Greddy twin turbo set up.... that car was in the Calgary car show when we were at Vex...they tuned it the following week...I think that says they know a thing or two in order to do a build like that....or the 2007 Aston Martin Vantage they have lowered and are starting to tune and do mega mods on.....
Anyway, that **** don't mater to me because I am very happy with my experience in Red Deer. Vex has my confidence, enough that I am spending the $$$ to let them make my truck into a beast.

hey sask attak, i`m glad to see your as impressed as you are with the uprev tune you got at vex. i trusted your word and thought i"d give a go. 21+hp and ???torqe at the rear with a bit of help from new AFE air and FLOPRO ex. Fidell and Miron did an exellent job. I hope to hear some juicy stories on your conquers of the underpowered victims.
Good news out of Red Deer. More interest in the UpRev tunes after the word has been out on the exellent mileage and performance increases. Many of the high end diesel burners are finding out they dont have such a great thing going as they thought. With this fuel going up the way it is I was happy to get a 6.5 MPG increase with my tune, air and exaust.Next month I hope to add the cams and I hope they will not take anything Ive gained. If anyone knows the stats on mileage and JWT cams installed Please let me know.

Ok... please allow me to be the first to send up a flag..... That kind of claim is going to have to be followed up by a LOT of proof..... You will need to go into explicit detail on how you achieved this gain that no one else has been able to duplicate nor even come within half of....
^^^ I will have to second this motion... ^^^ 6.5 mpg increase is just a little hard for me to digest, even if you're lowered, stock, or running donut wheels... if this is the real thing, I'm gonna invest the $ now to get UPREV'd so I can start saving myself in the long run, since it costs +$100/ tank of 91 octane gas... 'cause...with my leadfoot + lifted set-up + oversized tires, I get chitty chitty gas mileage, like 8-10 mpg on a cool day around town, and luckily get 14-16 mpg on the hwy... but, the way I look at it is... if you can't afford to pay, don't play...

I kwow our gallons are a bit larger than yours but they are not double. I was averaging a wapping 14 mpg before adding afe intake, flo pro true duels, and Uprev tuning.I,ve averaged 20.5 mpg on my latest road trip,s and my average crusing speed was 120 kph or 75 mph. Before you put it down maybe you should invest in an Uprev of your own from anywhere you can get it.
A gallon is a gallon no matter where it comes from!!
You are the first person to ever say that got a 6.5 increase in MPG, shoot, you maybe the first to ever say you got an increase! That is why it is hard to believe. Most everybody on this board is well aware of what uprev can do for performance. If everbody had an increase like you, most all of us would have already bought it!!!! So get real when we call BS on a statement like that! It is hard to believe!!

I have been enjoying it so much that I have almost eaten my rear right tire completly, it was a nicely treaded 33" but no it is pretty much usless...I so need trutrac!
I need to give Vex a call to see how the biz is going. I am awaiting more mods and will need another tune soon.
