white vinegar. Then wash the truck right after wards. Then clay bar and polish/seal/wax the truck.

Re: Water spots on the hood

Do you mix the vinegar or just pour it on? Should I wet the truck first or pour it on dry?

Re: Water spots on the hood

Here's the 411 on water spots and prevention. Water spots are made when the water(from your hose) dries on your hood and leaves calcuim depoists. Keep it wet until your finish, towel dry and no water spots. And no clay bar, waxes etc.

Re: Water spots on the hood

mine is black and i have had the same problem, wax wont get it completely out. especially when u look at the hood at an angle. it even seems like the hood is just harder to wax off than the rest of the truck. Sorry man i hope someone gets u a good solution. i have tried viniger and it works but not completely.

Re: Water spots on the hood

I have the sme problem, well should I say I had the same problem with my 09 Black Titan Crew Cab, but mine were on the roof not the hood. So I asked this forum and someone on here suggested Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. It worked great, but it takes alot and I mean alot of elbow grease. I put it on and took it off by hand, I don't know if you can use a buffer or not but I am not that great with one so I would cause more damage than good. I know it took 1 hour alone for the roof. I think it took around 5 hours for the whole truck.

Hope this helps.

Re: Water spots on the hood

ya i use quick wax afer i wash my black T every time, our water at home has a lot of calcium in it and it leaves a lot of white water spots. the car washes in town leave them as well but not as bad, just use quick wax or Eagle one wax as you dry i think it's called.
