My dogs love to ride in the Titan (of course, who wouldn't)... and they like to lean out the window (as any dog would)... However, this leads to them putting their paws (and claws) on the armrest and outside paint of my truck. Well, I got some scrap pieces of plywood... some leftover carpet... and made the "dogrest". It simply slides over the door when the window is down and gives the dogs something to rest their feet on and it protects my truck. When not in use it conveniently fits (by accident... I didn't measure it, just got lucky) on to the back of the back seat. Sadly, I think this is my first "mod" to my truck... hehe
Here are some pics:
Just make sure that you keep the underside that touches your paint clean. Any dirt under there will act like sandpaper. You will eventually see a dulling area there. Coat it heavy with wax.

I have to say I was pretty proud of myself. I actually thought NOT to staple the carpet on the sides that would touch the truck so as not to get any scratches. I'm not real worried about the dirt issue... and the times I go muddin, I usually throw the dogs in the bed of the truck.
People would buy that for all kinds of vehicles if it were made available. I know some people in the product development/patent biz if you are interested.

hmmm... never really gave it any thought. shoot me a PM if you're serious.
Next law will probably be or in the news we will hear, "Doggies (pets) must buckle up?" or driver gets "Fine and imprisonment", like Michael Vick for dog or animal abuse or endangerment? Do I hear another rant from other members coming, like the one started when I defended the "Little People"?
PETA would love me. I make my dog ride in the bed. The inside of my truck is too nice to get dog hair all over it.
Actually my dog loves riding in the bed. I put a leash on him that is attached to the bed extender. He can't jump out but he can get his front paws up on the side of the truck. Kids love to see a Bassett riding down the road with big ol ears flopping in the wind.
