Re: Rough stuff on my hood

Somebody mentioned rubbing alcohol earlier, if it is sap, that is the way to go with a soft cloth, the clay bars don't always work on sap, especially if it is dried on. Than just a lite waxing and you should be good to go.

Re: Rough stuff on my hood

Can I just say,McGuires and Mothers are also great products, but Adams is not only a supporting vendor on here,we have a member that is a distributor, and you will never find more friendly helpful people to assist you in whatever it is you are trying to do.They have local detail clinics and give us unlimited use of their products while assisting us to make things just perfect. If you order on line and type in "folger" in the discount code you also get 10% off on top of any monthly specials.Did I mention that these are the absolute best products you'll ever try?

Re: Rough stuff on my hood

Skyboi...that makes more sense that you were referring to the use of compound, and not the claybar! I remember when my dad wrecked the paint on my ranger (before custom paint), he said "a little rubbing compound, and it'll be fine...I wasnteven a painter then, and I knew that it was a bad idea!

Also, after re-reading your post and my post, I realized something...a claybar CAN do that...if it is dropped and then picked up and used!

Justin

Re: Rough stuff on my hood

A couple of folks have suggested Adams, I'm in total agreement!
The products they offer are second to none.

I have no issues with Mothers or Meguiar's, they both offer fine products. It's just now that I have used Adams, I'm sold. After 37 years of "wax on, wax off" on every car and truck I've owned, I've really found products that work as advertised.

I always reccomend that you cut your claybar in half when you buy it.... Just in case you drop it....

That way you only lose half.

Re: Rough stuff on my hood

Cyclo polisher guys, amazing machine, rubbing alchohol removes tree sap. And as always remember to seal area with wax when finished

Re: Rough stuff on my hood

i thought the liquid ice clay bar worked nice. it was also easy to use and stayed pretty wet except in the really hot sun
