How do you clean chrome?

First time I've ever owned a vehicle with chrome wheels and not sure how to keep them up. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Re: How do you clean chrome?

If they're new you should just handwash them often.... If they are really dirty...you should try a NON acid Cleaner...Be careful not to use any cleaners on HOT wheels and do not use them in direct sunlight as Ultraviolet may affect the chemicals and cause a reaction.

My rule of thumb is to spray the wheel and count to 20 then repeat if necessary...Let it on too long and watch it burn....

Finish them off by drying and waxing or hit them with a little Rain-X

Good luck....

Re: How do you clean chrome?

Ammonia free windex and a papertowel works great. Just make sure the surface isn't hot.

Re: How do you clean chrome?

I use Mother's Chrome wheel polish. Work great, if you get one of them Power Ball it help big time. A plus is the polish work almost like a wax and keep the chrome cleaner for longer period of times.

Re: How do you clean chrome?

for a nice chrome shine after cleaning them I suggest using Adam's Brilliant Glaze Spray. The chrome looks amazing after applying it.
