cleaning cabin air filter

Does anyone knows where to buy a cleaning product to soak or clean the cabin air filter? I have read that a spa cartridge cleaner will do the trick. Just soak it for hours then blow dry it before putting it back in. Don't know where to get it though...Any suggestions and where to get the cleaner is greatly appreciated.

I probably cut some corners but I used Dawn dishwashing soap. It didn't seem to cause any problems.

Re: cleaning cabin air filter

My filters are charcoal gray. I keep thinking it's suppose to be all white. I have an 08 TITAN SE CC. I guess it came with it. Anyone knows for sure there are charcoal gray ones?

No, they are supposed to be white, but it doesnt take long for them to turn to the dark side

Re: cleaning cabin air filter

I left it soaked with dish detergent and tub & tile cleaner for six hours in warm water. It is still charcoal gray.
