Re: F@#! hail storm!

last thursday we had a tornado warning (rare for CT), and it started hailing like crazy, bout 1/2" size. luckily no damage, plus i was parked underneath a couple trees, which im sure helped......no damage. just a ton of leaves and pluged up drain holes in the bed.

Re: F@#! hail storm!

dude i hear ting ting out my apartment window and bolted to the truck, bajaing across a few grassy knoles and underneast the bigest tree i could find right before armeggedon began. im sure i saved it from far worse damage.

damage is minimal tho, might be ok after a re-wax

I'm originally from CT, and a friend told me that but I just laughed since I've been in KS for 5 years and seen it all. Hail will not normally do damage until it gets to about golf ball sized. (depending on the hardness) Luckily the few time we've had it here this year I was across town or out of state. Truck has been through a few storms with quarter sized hail and no damage at all so I'm pleased.

Re: F@#! hail storm!

went in for a closer look today. the white nicks actually where only wax deep buffed right out. i had 2 hits that went into the clear coat so i put some touch up clear coat on. all good now. my parking under the tree deffinetly helped. saw some other black cars with some good chips out of the paint .

Re: F@#! hail storm!

I have some hail dings on the very top of my roof. I thought about turning them in but the only way you can see them is if you stand up in the bed.
