Ultimate Removal Tool

eBay Motors: 3M Stripe Off Wheel w/ Hardware 500-4000 RPM 07498 (item 120180399354 end time Sep-30-08 12:59:02 PDT)

I went into Pep Boys, Autozone, Checker and a paint store here in Yuma and no one had even heard of this tool, and all were to lazy to even look in their computer, so i'm forced to find it online and buy one.

These things are freakinng awesome for removing adhessive, pinstriping, etc. and not damaging the paint.

Just wanted to give everyone ea heads up on this awwesome tool. I even went out and bought a new drill yessterday too, lol....

Re: Ultimate Removal Tool

I used a similar tool on my old Ranger to remove the lettering on it. It worked pretty good. I have a bunch of adhesive residue left over from stone gaurds on the Porsche, do you know how well this works on adhesive/glue?

Re: Ultimate Removal Tool

Nice post, I've been looking for something to remove the decals off my hood. Was afraid of messing up the paint. Will try local first if not guess it's gonna be online too.

Re: Ultimate Removal Tool

I tried Pep boys, checker, autozone, and a paint supply house, even gave em the freaking part # but the 3 autoparts stores said they didn't carry em and didn't even bother to look in the computer if it wasn't out on the floor, lol.... The paint house could get me one, but hell, even with shipping, this was cheaper, lol....

I used to have one and used it on several vehhicles I debadged, it works great and as long as you don't leave it in one spot it won't damage the paint

I can't wait to get it so I can finish the truck, screw using my fingers, lol....

And, yes, if you pull hte badging off and leave all that horrible black tape sitting there, this dissc will eat it right up

I jsut wish I hadn't have lost mine a while back, lol....

Re: Ultimate Removal Tool

To be honest...There's an easier solution that's less agressive.

1. Lift the edge of the stripe with a razor blade
2. Pull the stripe off.
3. Soak the remaining adhesive with a mixture of Kerosene with a little carwash soap in it.
4. Wash it with a bug sponge.

GONE!
