I guess the previous owner of my titan didnt like to wash it so now there are bugs plastered to the paint on the front bumper.
Does anyone know how to get them off i have scrubbed like crazy and got some bug and tar remover but nothing is working so any help would be great. Thanks
Why is there never enough time to do it right the first time,
But always enough time to do it again?

My Titan - 2005 CC LE had collected quite a bug buildup on my drive across the country to Yellowstone and back last summer. We spent almost a month away from civilization (and the luxury of car washes). My solution - I sprayed with Simple Green and let it sit for about 10 min and my "bug collection" hosed right off with a little rubbing with a soft brissle brush. I hope this helps you. - Peace - Royr

I used to own my own detailing company, so I can speak from my own experiences.
You don't need a good wash for this. Use Dawn or some type of dish soap.
Once you dry it, use a good paint cleaner; use an buffer (an orbital will work)
After that, use a clay bar. This will take about hour or two if you do the whole truck. If you only do the hood, it should take about 20 minutes.
Then, use a really good UV polish, like Liquid Glass or Dura Gloss.
Be prepared to spend a few hours to do this, but it's worth it in the end.
Get some stuff called, Bugs-B-Gone. It's made by the same people who make Sea Foam. It works great.
I'd recommend the clay bar as well, if you havne't done it in a while, or at all.

Post some pics. of the bumper if you can. If it is lovebugs and they have been on there for a long time, you will have to get it repainted. I do not know what it is but if the lovebugs are left there to long they will eat right throught the clearcoat and into the paint and NO cleaner on the market will remove them.

If you use dawn soap your going to remove any wax you already put on the truck. If you go this route you should apply wax when your done.
Check out Adam's stuff, most of our products have UV protection in them to protect the coat.

I totally disagree with this approach...
First, you DO need a good wash with a pressure washer, bug sponge and some good debug solution.
Next, never buff before you claybar....ridiculous
If he owned a detail business he should know this.....
Warning to my Titan brothers..... Just because someone has a shiney truck doesn't mean they're a pro. Just means they have hidden most of the flaws with products....
Be careful with some of these "home brewed" methods.

Call me crazy but rubbing alcohol works like a charm for me with really stuck on $hit.
As said before, anything takes off stuck on $hit, is gonna remove any sort of wax or other protection as well, so you'll need to re-apply... or not if you're the "it's just a truck f**k waxing" type like I am.

if you find the right wax ( Adam's ) you'll see how easy it is to apply and remove. Then you'll appreciate your truck that much more.

You vastly underestimate my laziness.
