I went to my local marine supply store and told the guy I had a Seadoo that
had been out of the water for about 3 weeks and had not been washed since.
Needless to say the Seadoo it looked like A$$. After washing it twice it still looked horrible. The guy suggested I use the stuff called Ducky to get out the water spots. It worked awesome, it took the water spots right out.
After washing my Galaxy Black truck I always have water spots, so yesterday I washed it and then drove it dry like always. When I got back home I used it on all the left over water spots and the truck looks awesome now to.
I would recommend this for anyone who is having problems with water spots.
By the way I don't sell this product. Just letting you guys know my experience.
any kind of filter for the water hose can help with that. whatever method works.

Reason: Spelling. What kind of bonehead screws up thank you?
Good advice. My took real poor care of my boat last year and didnt even wipe it down after taking it out once or twice every week. Talk about bad water spots.
So like if I have water spots like etched into my glass like it says on ducky should it work to take that the spots off?
I could only find hard rubbing compund that would work to take off my water spots and still took an hour to do 1 window. Ive got it bad, I have well water, which people do say is bad for spots.
Ducky works good. I used to use it. Try Hot Sauce, it has wax in it. It's like $15.00 a bottle but it goes a long way. It removes the water spots like Ducky but doesn't remove your wax.

I do not recommend or advise this method period!!!!!!!!!! (highly acidic)
2 posts does not give you enough reputation to go on.
Even if it did work.... a small bottle would cost $6 bucks and wouldn't go far.
I can get a tub of pure Carnauba for $13 and get 20+ waxjobs.
Nice try........

is water spot = acid rain? because i got plenty on my hood, and i try rubbing coumpound, distilled vinegar, rain x, but with no luck.
Here's my answer from the "Water Spots" thread:
Lets breakdown what causes water spots in the first place.
First you start with the actual droplets
Then, the evaporation process removes the water and leaves behind the concentrated chemical compounds. Like calcium
If your vehicle is left out in the sun to dry..The sunlight is magnified by the curve of the bubble and really starts to work on pitting underneath the paint by evaporating the water and concentrating the leftover chemical compounds...especially acid rain..
This is where you want a good wax job but no beading.
So how do you help get rid of them.
1. try to prevent them from happening before hand by using a water softening rinsing agent or spray that reduces beading. I put some in a spray bottle and after a rain I squirt 2 or 3 times over the top of my truck and BAM...the water lays down and rolls off.
2. If you have spotting already...Start light and work towards heavy meaning...try wax then move to clay then move to machine.
Hope this helps...Good luck!
