The headight lens on my wifes altima were starting to get crappy looking. The oxidation was getting pretty bad so I decided to get some Meguiar’s PLASTX, heard and read that it worked well. Did as insttructed and wow the oxidation is gone. However, the lens look just as bad now cuz they are all scratched up now. Has anybody else used this stuff on there lens? Does anybody have any ideas as to what i can do now? I dont think they need to be replaced but i will if i have to.

Yeah man.... Just buff it. Grab a sponge with a little glaze on it and you'll have a new looking lenz in less than 5 mins....I prefer a variable instead of a random orbit for this job.
Look at it this way...What do you have to lose if you ef it up? The light is already jazzed so give it a shot.
1. squirt a 1/2 oz of glaze on an applicator and spread it thin and evenly on the lenz.
2. grab your buffer (will work with a random) and have at it. nice and even coverage till the material is dried and almost all removed.
3. wipe away any excess and you're done.
This is not a big or expert project....Go for it
Good luck.

Honestly....you could grab any off the shelf liquid cleaner wax or 1 step product.
Either Maguire's or Mother's ....The cleaner types will give you a mild abrasive that should lift the oxidation off without being too difficult to control.
If you don't see the desired results after the first pass.....hit it again till you do. Finish it off by buffing your wax on and off....You'll be fine.
Hey......Let us know how you made out.

Wetsand those suckers. Since you've cleaned them up with PlastX already, and removed the oxidation and grime, now you need to smooth the plastic down. Go to the store and get some 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit wet sandpaper. Throw it in a bucket of water overnight. Then wetsand them starting from coarse to fine. After you wetsand them and they're good and smooth, they are going to look a bit hazy. Then take a powerball for paint (trust me, it works), with a bit of polish, smear the polish around the headlight before turning on the drill to reduce slinging, and polish the light out with the powerball. After you get that sucker crystal clear you then run into a dilemma...how to keep it from happening again. You could get the 3M film to cover the headlight. It works, it relatively cheap, and if it gets messed up, you just peel it off and replace it. That would be my choice. Others like to spray the lights with a few coats of clear for a bit more durability. My problem with that is the fact that in a year or so, you are just gonna wind up sanding and polishing again. The choice is yours, but if it were my car, I'd put the 3M protective film on the lights once you get them polished out.
And if you don't want to go out and buy everything separately like I have listed, you can also buy this:

So after jumping in the bed last night this was the thought that i had as well. Wetsand those sucker then do the polish. So thats what i did. Except instead of just buying the sandpaper i bought a 9 dollar wet sand headlight kit thats made by turtlewax. Worked like a charm. Before and after pics didnt turn out.
Thanks to all those that replyed.
