service engine light

so i just bought my '10 titan a week ago and was showing it off to my family today and my cousin took the computer hook up under the hood out and put it back in without my knowledge while my truck was running so i close the hood and get in to take off and the slip, vdc, and service engine lite were all on when i got into it. i shut it off and waited a minute the started it back up and only the service engine lite stayed on. my question is do i have to take it to the dealer to get it to go off or is there a way to do it myself? or did the idiot actually do damage to the truck?

Trying resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery negative cable for a few minutes. Like 2 minutes then hook it back up and fire the truck up that's a quick way to check and clear bogus lil nonsense things, if it's serious it will still be on after resetting the ECU. I could be wrong and maybe someone else can chime in on this for ya. Good luck bud
