The dealer said there's nothing wrong with it, they couldn't duplicate the squeak...they don't hear it, etc. Since I got it back the squeak is worse. My first question, is there a tensioner on the drive belt? Second, is there something I can spray on it or maybe clean it with...it's driving me crazy. Thanks.

My question is that Iam planing on buying one as an early Christmas present for myself but sometime in the summer I also want to buy a ramair hood from suncoast. My problem is that I want one that would work as part of the ramair system and it seems like K&N and S&B are the ones that they recommend on there site. Do any of you know if I could go with a volant or AEM and if it would work with that system.

wednesday i swapped my friends intake manifold to a newer one on his dodge truck and he wanted me to port his tb. i ported both his intake manifold and throttle body. it got me thinking..... what if i ported our stock one? i was bored yesterday and i decided to mess with the truck again i took the throttlebody off and got a close look at it. we seem to have some kind of lip on it that reduces the opening to the butterfly. i went in and started to port it and it came out smoothly plus i took off more throughout the rest of it. i didnt mess with anything behind the butterfly. once buffed and polished i liked it i ran a couple of datalogs and im still running the same AFR LOL (im reading higher MAF gm/s but that may be because i just cleaned out my filter a month ago).. oh and no codes thrown! does anyone have a picture of a stock tb? i forgot to take a pic of it before i ported it. ill post pics later on today

was it easy? kinda sorta if u know how to use carbide burrs and have patience not to overdo it

did i see any performance gains? butt dyno lies to me so i gotta check at the track

how does it look? a dremel tool and some mothers wax it looks shiny!!!!!!!!!

I've read numerous complaints on here about windows shaking, rattling, etc. HOWEVER, I have not seen one solution on the problem, or how to fix it. I actually tried fixing it, by taking off the rear door panel off, the speaker to access the window, rolled the window up half way, and moved it about to see what was going on.

What it seems to be is the bracket holding on to the window that is on the rail and slides up and down, doesn't appear to sit snug on the rail, allowing the window to move around side by side, especially when you move it around by hand.

I think this is a bunch of crap, and from the way it looks, I don't see how the hell you can even fix it. How would anyone even replace the window, let alone that bracket holding onto the window, if they could. I hope I never get a broken window, cause I'd be screwed!!!!!!

On page 432 of the Reid bill, there is a section increasing federal Medicaid subsidies for “certain states recovering from a major disaster.”

The section spends two pages defining which “states” would qualify, saying, among other things, that it would be states that “during the preceding 7 fiscal years” have been declared a “major disaster area.”

I am told the section applies to exactly one state: Louisiana, the home of moderate Democrat Mary Landrieu, who has been playing hard to get on the health care bill.

In other words, the bill spends two pages describing would could be written with a single world: Louisiana. (This may also help explain why the bill is long.)

Senator Harry Reid, who drafted the bill, cannot pass it without the support of Louisiana’s Mary Landrieu.

How much does it cost? According to the Congressional Budget Office: $100 million.

Well isn’t that nice. Certainly Louisiana voters won’t be disappointed at getting a bigger slice of the ‘pie’. And correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Rep. Cao receive a similar concession from Democrats in the House?

The worst thing about all of this is that we’re supposed to be a nation of laws. Those in congress made a vow to uphold the Constitution of these United States. They don’t even bother crossing their fingers anymore when taking that oath. They openly scoff at anyone who asks how anything they’re doing is constitutional. I know – it’s so old fashioned to talk about the Constitution. But at what point will the lawlessness of our legislators lead us into complete chaos?

Nothing against Louisiana, it is my home state, but this just ain't right.

So it got to -35 here last night and when I went to make sure my window would roll down (I have to drive onto post to get to work and show my ID every day) it wouldn't roll back up. I only rolled it down partially initially. Every time I tried to roll it up it went down further until it went all the way down into the door. I figure it was frozen somehow and make the painful drive to Napa (about 5-10 miles away, God was I cold even with all my awesome gov't issue gear) and get some windshield deicer. After about 10-15 minutes of squirt, try, wait, and repeat it barely came up a little. After some encouragement I was able to pull on it and hit the button and it came up.

I didn't dare try the other windows, but I have noticed my rear passenger window was slow to roll up in the past.

Any suggestions on keeping this from happening again? (aside from not living here :teeth:) I don't plan on rolling my window down anymore but this shouldn't happen.

Well since we have finally gotten some cooler weather down here in the sunshine state I decided to take my truck to the track one last time before I get my 35's and see if I could get a 14 second run. I went to gainesville raceway this past wed. and it was beautiful out. It was in the 60's and not very humid and my first pass with a fully heat soaked engine (g'ville is about a 45 minute highway drive for me) I ran a new best of 15.10@91mph so i knew it was gonna be a good night. I parked my truck and popped the hood and let it set for 45 minutes. First run up I ran a 14.88@91.2 with a 2.19 60'!!! I was so freaking happy that I FINALLY got my 14 second run. Well the rest of the night was an awsome slew of 14.8's and 14.9's with my best coming around 10pm with a DA of 437' (according to dragtimes) which was a 14.85@91.8mph with a 2.16 60' and a 9.49@74 1/8th mile!!! I was extremely happy and am ready to get my lift and 35's. Their were some extremely bada$$ vehicles out that night too including a small group of SRT-8 grand cherokees, a VW rabbit (the old original rabbit) that was running 10.40's@135mph ALL MOTOR, a top fuel looking car with an ecotec 4cyl with a GIANT turbo running 8's letting off and finally got it right and layed down a 6 second pass!!!! Oh their was also a new GTR with a bunch of mods running high 10's that gave me wood! HAHAHA No other trucks though so I was kinda bummed, not even a lightning or tundra. But anyways I thought I would share because it really made my night to finally get a 14 second run. I know it's not very quick but it made me happy.

The nanny state is at it again. Lolifornia and it's environazis have passed legislation banning the sale of "power hungry" HDTVs. If you haven't heard of this, come out from under your rock and read this:

California Cracks Down on Power-Hungry TVs - Science News | Science & Technology | Technology News - FOXNews.com

So now electronics manufacturers are going to have to deal with having to build separate tvs for lolifornia, just like the automakers have had to do for decades. When are the corporations going to wake up and realize THEY have the power to stop the environazis? It's so simple it hurts to think it's not being done. Now, in the midst of an economic crisis, lolifornia and their hippy environazis are costing major corporations BILLIONS because they think they're special. You know how you stop this once and for all? STOP CATERING TO THEM!

Ford, come on out, and tell them to get bent. Make the models that can be bought in every other state, and save yourself some money by not having to build one that's CARB compliant. I would also say Chrysler and GM should too, but since they are owned by the government, we all know that will never happen. All the foreign automakers should also follow suit. It's good for business.

Same goes for manufacturers of yard equipment. Stop making CARB certified lawnmowers, weed eaters, blowers, et all.

And the electronics manufacturers...the regulation on you hasn't gone into effect yet. So before it costs you money, TAKE A STAND. Hold a press conference, tell them it's great lolifornia wants to choke the economy to death, but you're not gonna play ball. Let them know right now that you will continue building tvs the way you have been, and you will not make a special model for lolifornia.

You do that, and you will witness first hand history being made. You will witness the free market FINALLY pushing back against opressive government regulation. And maybe, just maybe, you will witness the people of lolifornia removing their heads from their @$$es and realizing they aren't special after all.
