I went to gainesville raceway this past wed. and it was beautiful out. It was in the 60's and not very humid and my first pass with a fully heat soaked engine (g'ville is about a 45 minute highway drive for me) I ran a new best of 15.10@91mph so i knew it was gonna be a good night. I parked my truck and popped the hood and let it set for 45 minutes. First run up I ran a 14.88@91.2 with a 2.19 60'!!! I was so freaking happy that I FINALLY got my 14 second run. Well the rest of the night was an awsome slew of 14.8's and 14.9's with my best coming around 10pm with a DA of 437' (according to dragtimes) which was a 14.85@91.8mph with a 2.16 60' and a 9.49@74 1/8th mile!!! I was extremely happy and am ready to get my lift and 35's. Their were some extremely bada$$ vehicles out that night too including a small group of SRT-8 grand cherokees, a VW rabbit (the old original rabbit) that was running 10.40's@135mph ALL MOTOR, a top fuel looking car with an ecotec 4cyl with a GIANT turbo running 8's letting off and finally got it right and layed down a 6 second pass!!!! Oh their was also a new GTR with a bunch of mods running high 10's that gave me wood! HAHAHA No other trucks though so I was kinda bummed, not even a lightning or tundra. But anyways I thought I would share because it really made my night to finally get a 14 second run. He pulled up beside me in a, what seemed to be 08-09 Malibu. We decide to gun it. I took off a half length behind him but only pulled to about 3/4 of a length in front. We hit 80 and I shut her down because I see traffic up the way. I was shocked! I pulled up behind him and it's a LTZ so I couldn't wait to get home to look up what was underneath that thing. So he gave me the thumbs up and went on his way. Come to find out, it carries 252hp v6 with vvt and runs the 1/4 @ 15.1 and only weighs 3,640lbs. I finish passing the semi truck and put on my turn signal and start to merge and this idiot flys by me on the right side and cuts back in front of me. I'm pissed. I ride his *** and turn on my Hella off road lights and he slows way down next to a semi. Then once we pass the truck he trys to take off and gets about 2 car lengths in front and I step on it. I was going about 60-65 when I step on it and I reel him in fast and pass him on the right and proceed to flip him off as I fly by him. I shut it down at an undisclosed speed after he was wayyyyyyy behind and he did a ricer fly by once I slowed down and he finally caught up, in true douche bag fashion. FYI there were no cars around us or in front when I passed the semi and once I saw one I slowed to a normal speed. Passed by another Titan that was in the middle lane. I slowed down a bit and he catch up with me. It was a newer one since dash lights were not like my 05. Waved through traffic and he got on it so i tried to catch up and surprisingly i wasn't any faster then him. His looked stock, well untill we got to like 100 mph which is beyond stock speed limiter. Guess i can use an excuse that i had like 300lb of tools :) Anyways, i was thinking about catching up with him and see if he would like to chat, but cop showed up and ruined it all. We both were pulled over. Good thing for me that i got no tickets or anything. Not sure about him.
Anyways, just wondering if it's someone from this board. Not many titans around, and was nice to see another owner. Too bad it end up kinda stupid.

As for my upgrades, nothing fancy but i was hopeing to be faster then stock looking titan. The guy didn't bite....we were cruising around 40 and picking up speed and I knew the guy was boosting so I WOT and take him out.....then shut it down...then he busted the ricer fly by and I tried playing catch up and it was no use....we were going 70+ already and it was useless to keep going. headed to a dead four lane street, hit the red light, and its on. First was from a dig, he pulled on me hard off the line. between one tire fire wheel spin and a sandbagging effort to get traction, he was gone.

Second time we ran from a 20mph roll. i kept up through his first gear. when he shifted to second he slowly started to pull away. by the time we hit 90-95, he was a good car and some ahead. ran a third time with a roll again, same outcome.

i was a little disapointed, but i thought on the bright side, my heavy *** truck almost kept up with his ( sports car ). We pulled back into the yard, tail between my legs, and shot the sh!t with the guy.

Come to find out he is rolling in a ws6. i didnt even know there was a ws6, and had no idea thats what i was lining up against. needless to say, when it was all over, i feel pretty damn good on how the T stood against his.
