Can anyone tell me thier opinion how I would fare in pulling this bad boy with my Titan? We're looking for a toy hauler to spend the weekends at the MX tracks, beach camping in the summer, and serve as the ocassional in-law-suite in the driveway. The tent gig is getting to be a drag after a long day at the track. I've never owned a camper or RV, so I want to make sure we get something within our ability to tow safely and serves all our needds. The RV dealer said it was no problem to tow....but you know how that is.

The wife and I fell in love with this one as we were shopping last week.

Specs: http://www.forestriverinc.com/nd/def...series=UltraTT

I have a 2008 4x2 King Cab SE with the Big Tow package. I'm also expecting to get a weight distributing hitch installed. Cargo would most likely be 2-3motocross bikes (~225 lbs each) and gear, plus the 2-3 day living essentials, and a generator.

Another idea I'm considering is going with a regular travel trailer (non-toy hauler), maybe a little shorter and lighter, and load the bikes in the bed of the truck (max 2) like I do now. Not sure how that would effect the overall towing situation either....But I really prefer the TH scenario

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I'm looking at a 2010 King Cab SE with the tow package, but has what you'd call the small tow package (7400 tow capacity with 2.94:1 final gear). I don't really understand how this ratio reduces the tow capacity by 2000 lbs. from the 3.36:1 ratio. After all the rest of the truck is the same.

My trailer (2010 Airstream) GVWR 7300, Dry Weight 5621. I'm figuring that the 7300 Lbs. is the absolute most this trailer will ever weigh. To start with, the GVWR includes 630 lbs. for waste water, which in all probability would never be in the trailer while towing. Without the waste water the GVW would be 6670 lbs.

So my question is, would this truck adequately and safely pull this trailer? Even at GVWR 7300 for tailer? Of course with the use of a WD hitch, probably a Reece 800, w/1200 lbs. bars.

Thanks Rick

Hello Titan owners, name is Jamie, new here. I am looking at picking up a Titan to tow my Jeep on a trailer. I'm having some issues figuring out all the tow talk/option packages available for the Titans, as well as the BT, gears, temp guage, GVWR, etc, etc..

I've found a 04 Titan SE 4x4, its a two door with the swing out suicide doors in the rear, (crew cab? Club Cab?). It appears to have the larger tow mirrors, seven pin wiring harness and hitch, tow button on dash, 6499 GVWR sticker on the door, and the utility door on the rear driver fender. Dealer claims it has the offroad package with Rancho shocks, but there are no stickers on it that say offroad.

What I am trying to determine is what package does it have? Big tow? Utility? Offroad, or all of the above?

Can anyone help out a Nissan newbie? Here are a few pics to help out with my questions.
Tow mirrors

I made a costly mistake this weekend and just wanted to remind everyone to check your tires before towing. I regularly pull my bass boat on weekend with my 07 Titan with Big Tow package. But this past weekend I decided to see what my truck was made of by pulling a 7x12 dump trailer loaded with gravel. The load was between 9500-10000 pounds. The truck really suprised me on how well it handled and pulled the load even up inclines. The next day I just happened to walk by my truck and noticed a big bulge that was cracking coming from the drivers side factory tire worried it may blow i changed out the tire for my spare and checked the passenger tire and found a bulge on the inside of that tire as well. The truck has only 19800 miles and tires were in good shape but I must have overloaded them. If the tire had come apart with that kind of weight behind me it would have been tough to keep her in the road. Now i have to ride around on a spare and hope that my passenger side doesn't blow while my new set comes in(which is bfg km2s and E load range tire). So just to recap your truck may be able to handle the load but that doesn't mean your tires can.
